Poverty
Limits access to schools, learning resources and guidance.
HomeAbout CEF / Our Why
Our whyCEF began with a personal experience of how limited access to education, resources and guidance can restrict a young person's future.

At 16, founder Reuben Reeves began his social entrepreneurship journey after watching his elder sister drop out of high school because of teenage pregnancy. Having grown up in extreme poverty, he understood how limited access to education, resources and guidance could restrict young people's futures.
His early initiative, Rehab Africa, evolved into Letters to Strangers Liberia (L2SLiberia), expanding access to affordable mental health services for young people.
In 2024, a visit to Bokay Town, Grand Bassa County, inspired him to explore how education could better respond to community needs. That experience led to the establishment of CEF.

The principle that guides CEF
These are the barriers CEF was created to address.
Limits access to schools, learning resources and guidance.
Poverty, teenage pregnancy and early marriage push girls out of education.
Too little focus on practical skills, creativity and problem-solving.
Few links from school to higher education, TVET, jobs and enterprise.
With the right education, skills, resources and opportunities, young people can transform their lives and strengthen their communities. That is why CEF connects every school to practical skills and real next steps.
