Our how

Schools built with communities, not for them

We work with communities to establish schools, mobilize resources and create learning environments that respond to local needs.

Our process

Five steps, built with the community

  1. Listen

We engage young people, families and community leaders to understand local needs.

  2. Co-create

Communities contribute land and labour where possible; CEF mobilises resources and partners.

  3. Establish

Together we build schools and learning environments that respond to local needs.

  4. Learn and build skills

Classroom education connects to STEM, TVET, health, climate action and enterprise.

  5. Open pathways

Learners move on to higher education, vocational careers, employment or their own business.

Communities as co-owners

Where possible, communities contribute land and take part in building and sustaining their schools. Shared ownership keeps each school rooted in local needs.

Schools as platforms

Beyond classroom education, our schools serve as platforms for STEM, entrepreneurship, health and well-being, climate action, agriculture and vocational training.

Pathways, not just classrooms

Our goal is not simply to build schools. It is to build pathways from education to opportunity, economic independence and community transformation.

From education to opportunity

Every learner should leave with a clear next step
